While pending and closed sales as well as average price all rose year over year, they fell slightly from August. This is very typical of the Portland Metro market as we head later into the fall and winter.
Check out the Active Residential Listings graph pulled from the RMLS Market Action September 2019 Reporting Period. 2019 shows active listings starting to cool off a little bit sooner than the last two years, but essentially this tells the same story of a reduction of inventory as we move into October and closer to the holidays.
What does this mean to you? In short, it’s still a great market in Portland and with rates still really low, the slight cool from prior months makes it a great time to buy with less pressure.
If you’d like to see the whole report and talk about what’s happening in the market let me know and let’s grab a coffee or beer and talk about how it affects your real estate plans.
